The Officers are members of the Emergency Committee and as such will stay in office until an AGM is able to be held. We would also request that Conveners would remain in office as well.
Having spoken to SportNI it will be at least 3 weeks before a statement is released regarding indoor sports. SportNI asked the Honorary Secretary to send some “Draft guidelines for safe play and social distancing” and he has submitted a document for discussion. Without going into great detail, washing/sanitising your hands and sanitising bowls equipment before and after play is being looked at. The age profile of our bowlers and maintaining Social distancing is also a major concern.
The Treasurer has requested that Convenors inform clubs not to forward any affiliation/league/tournament fees until we have a clearer picture of how the bowling season will operate. Until then a decision cannot be made about producing a yearbook. In the meantime please forward any changes of secretaries to your Zone Convener.
